Corruption: “I’m one of the angels” – Ezekwesili

Ezekwesili is a former education minister in Nigeria.
Ezekwesili said she believes God won’t take it easy with those who plunder others to pile up wealth.

Chibok girls advocate and former education minister Obiageli Ezekwesili has revealed why she’ll never be named in any treasury looting affair.

Why? She said she stole no money.

She made the comments after a tweep tagged her in a tweet containing what Kaduna State governor Nasir ElRufai said about her.

Ezekwesili’s statement comes amidst serious allegations of corruption levelled on officials who served under former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Ezekwesili, a devout Christian, has been at the heart of the demand for the rescue of over 200 Nigerian girls Boko Haram terrorists abducted from Chibok, Borno State, in April 2014.

She fights alongside devout Muslim Aisha Yusuf, and many others.

Ezekwesili is also a chartered accountant. She was a co-founder of Transparency International, serving as one of the pioneer directors of the global anti-corruption body based in Berlin, Germany.

She served as Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and then as Federal Minister of Education during the second-term presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo.

She was Vice-President of the World Bank’s Africa division from May 2007 to May 2012..
