Connections not needed! Lagosian gets governor’s attention with one proposal

Connection. That’s the magic word to get whatever you want not only in Lagos but also in Nigeria as a whole. Whether you’re looking for a job or looking to get a contract from a company, you just need to know someone that knows someone that knows someone that matters.
It’s become such a widely held belief that even churches have made it a prayer point.
But this man says you may not need to be connected to get things done, within the Lagos state government at least.
Olumide Akinsola, a twitter user, wrote a proposal and dropped it at the office of the governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode.
He didn’t call or tell anyone to help him push it.
8 days later, he had received calls from two commissioners.
Olumide couldn’t contain his surprise, so he took to twitter.
Another twitter user asked for the governor’s address.
