All but 3 players from the 22-man squad of the Brazilian Chapecoense team that was involved in a plane crash Monday night have been confirmed dead.
A total of 81 people – 22 football players, 28 support staff, 22 journalists and 9 crew members – were aboard the ill-fated British Aerospace 146 short-haul plane when it crashed as a result of some electrical failures.
75 of the crash victims have been confirmed dead, while 6 survivors have been rescued.
3 of the 6 survivors are reported to be members of the football team.
Two crew members and one journalist make up the remaining three.
The Brazillian soccer team aboard the charter plane was expected to play in the Copa Sudamerica finals against Atletico Nacional on Wednesday in Medellin.
