CHILD ABUSE: Maggots infest maid’s finger after madam inflicts wound on her
A man and his wife have been arrested in the Ijegun area of Lagos for allegedly maltreating their teenage maid.
The little girl’s madam, identified as Mrs Anyakaora, allegedly inflicted a wound on her hand and left it untreated.
The couple, of 12, Dominic street, Ijegun, have allowed the girl’s hand to start decaying, according to a concerned Samaritan who saw the girl’s badly infected hand while on errand at a store.
Maggots have reportedly started infesting the girl’s hand. It is also alleged that the girl was being serially abused by her boss.
The case has been brought to the notice of a human rights organisation and Anyakaora’s husband has been arrested by the police.
