Chibok parents: “Buhari sounds so much like Jonathan” – BBOG
The millions of Nigerians who voted for “anything but Goodluck Jonathan” are in for a shocker.
The outcome of the meeting, a clash actually, between President Muhammadu Buhari and 108 Chibok parents suggests the man who replaced Jonathan at the helms is no different.
That is what Aisha Yesufu, one of the leaders of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group, is implying.
Buhari met the BBOG on July 8, 2015 barely days after he was sworn into office. Yesufu said the Buhari of that day had empathy.
But the Buhari of the Thursday meeting with Chibok parents was totally different. He’s lost connection with reality, he’s got no human feeling, and he’s just cold.
Let’s go through Yesufu’s tweets
Buhari has changed to Goodluck Jonathan.
Buhari didn’t only lock out the media, he also barred Chibok parents and BBOG from taking notes.
Buhari, instead of connecting with the Chibok parents and the BBOG, busied himself throwing jibes at them.
Buhari forgot that the Chibok parents and their abducted daughters are the real victims.
BBOG leader Obiageli Ezekwesili had to beg Buhari to allow “two or three” Chibok parents talk. There were 108 parents.
And a parent who asked a crucial question was shut down.
Buhari actually implied that the missing girls were not his responsibility.
Women affairs minister Aisha Alhassan also said the same.
Did we mention that there was no national anthem because Buhari…?
And Buhari was not interested in the BBOG speech, his body language showed.
Before the meeting, Buhari’s aides said he may not attend because he wasn’t aware the meeting would hold. But the BBOG had the perfect response to their lame excuse.
And Buhari actually stormed out of the meeting, dropping the microphone with a bang!
NewsroomNG reported this on Thursday but Ezekwesili said it’s not true.
To cut the long story short, Buhari and his minister of women affairs are huge disappointments.
Yes, Yesufu retweeted that.
Lastly, what the Nigerian media (especially the broadcasters) reported about the meeting is…well…God help us all.

If not for Twitter, the plot would have been permanently twisted. And then some folks want to subtly cage that freedom.
