CAN Hails Oluremi Tinubu on 64th Birthday

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has sent its birthday wishes to the First Lady of Nigeria, Oluremi Tinubu, as she turns 64.

The christian body made their wishes known in a statement issued by association’s President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, on Sunday.

“The national leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) joins in celebrating the birthday of Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu. On this special occasion, we extend our heartfelt wishes for her continued health, happiness, and success in her role as a leader and advocate for the people of Nigeria.

“As First Lady, Mrs. Tinubu has shown a strong commitment to various social causes, particularly in agriculture, women’s empowerment, education, healthcare, and philanthropy. Her efforts in these critical sectors are commendable and reflect a deep understanding of the challenges facing our nation.

“However, it is crucial to acknowledge the pressing issues many Nigerians face today. Rising inflation, insecurity, and the ongoing struggle for necessities have significantly impacted countless families. As we celebrate the First Lady’s contributions, we must also call for renewed dedication from all levels of government to address these pressing concerns.

“We encourage the First Lady to continue her advocacy for the marginalized and voiceless, ensuring their needs and aspirations are prioritized in national discourse. We hope her influence can help catalyse positive change, fostering a Nigeria where every citizen can thrive in peace and prosperity.

The wife of the President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, was born on 21 September 1960.

Oluremi served in the Senate from 2011-2023 before assuming her current position as First Lady of Nigeria.
