Buhari missing as military chiefs brief Osinbajo
Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is, as we speak, locked in the Situation Room of the Presidential Villa in a meeting with Nigeria’s service chiefs.
The meeting is aimed at “allowing the service chiefs and other heads of security agencies to brief the acting president on the security situation in the country”, defence minister Mansur Dan-Ali is quoted to have said.
He reportedly said the briefing would allow security agencies show “unflinching support, commitment and loyalty of the Nigerian Armed Forces to the present administration.”
President Muhammadu Buhari, who should be in that room with the military chiefs, is vacationing in London where he’s also receiving medical attention. He said he won’t be back till doctors set him free.
