Tinubu to cut France trip short for swearing-in of new Chief Justice
The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has made plans to end his trip in France prematurely in order to return to oversee the swearing in of the new Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The President is currently in France for a short work trip.
Neusroom have now gathered that President Tinubu will fly into the country on Thursday ahead of the swearing-in of Kudirat Kekere-Ekun as the new Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
The swearing-in ceremony holds on Friday at the council chambers in the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

This is after the outgoing CJN, Olukayode Ariwoola, retired as CJN at the age of 70.
The ascension of Kekere-Ekun comes after a recommendation by the National Judicial Council (NJC) to Mr. President on August 15.
Meanwhile, a valedictory ceremony was held in his honour of the outgoing CJN at the supreme court complex to mark his end of tenure.
Ekun is the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court after Ariwoola and, as per the provisions of the Section 231(4) of the constitution, Ekun was, thus, expected to step up to fill the vacant office.
