Breaking: President Tinubu Returns From Equatorial Guinea Visit

The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, has returned to the country after a three-day official working visit to Equatorial Guinea.
The President arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, on Friday evening.
The official trip heralded the signing of an agreement on the Gulf of Guinea Pipeline Project between President Tinubu and President Teodoro Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea.
The agreement is one of the steps taken to enusure development and smooth working relationship between both African countries.
Legislative and regulatory guidelines for the gas pipeline, establishment and operation, transit of natural gas, ownership of the gas pipeline, and other general areas were enshrined in the agreement.
Tinubu, while reacting, stressed on gas exploration, job employment, food security and peace in both countries, among other key areas of need.

“Concerning Africa, conflicts and conflict resolution were discussed. We discussed various areas of conflict and what we can do to promote peace. We talked about the promotion of peace and stability in our countries and growth and prosperity on our continent,” President Tinubu stated.
His visit to the Central African country marks the President’s 22nd foreign trip since assuming office over a year ago.
Upon his arrival, the President was greeted by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, among other top government officials.
