BREAKING: Buhari misses FEC meeting again

The Federal Executive Council meeting is holding in Abuja but President Muhammadu Buhari is nowhere in sight.

It’s the fourth straight time the president would miss the meeting.

On one of the four occasions, the meeting was cancelled “based on logistics”. The Presidency effectively said Aso Rock workers were unable to arrange the meeting because they had Easter “hangover”.

Buhari has been so sick he had to spend 49 days in London, and under the watchful eyes of foreign doctors.

He had returned to the country but is staying away from public eye. The government has so far refused to reveal the details of Buhari’s ailment.

Buhari’s wife, Aisha, said on Tuesday: “My husband is not as sick as your think. He’s carrying out the duties of his office”.

Media aide Bashir Ahmad said the President was back at work. But the government, know for splashing Buhari’s photos over social media, had no image to show to prove Buhari held meetings with other government officials.

We await information minister Lai Mohammed’s reason for Buhari’s absence at today’s meeting.
