Boy, 17, allegedly axes father, sister and grandmother to death
A 17-year-old boy, identified as Alexander K, has been arrested for allegedly taking vengeance on his family; killing his father, sister and grandmother.
Alexander allegedly committed the crime while his folks slept at their home in the city of Tambov in western Russia’s Tambov Oblast region.
He was said to have become hostile to his family following the death of his mother from cancer three years ago. Alexander never warmed to his his father’s new girlfriend, The Sun UK reports.
He also reportedly withdrew from his friends, preferring to join a sect.
A refusal by the family to borrow the teenager his requested sum of £2,788 (about N1.6m) reportedly set him off, prompting him to allegedly carry out the mass murder early Tuesday.
Alaexander’s father Victor, 43, his sister Victoria, 14, and his grandmother Vera, 67, were all found brutally murdered in their blood-soaked beds with multiple axe wounds, reports say.
Alexander is being questioned and is expected to be charged with murder.
