Bill Cosby sentenced to 3 to 10 years jail term
September 25, 2018
Bill Cosby has been sentenced to three to ten years in jail for sexual assault.
The comedian was found guilty of drugging and sexually abusing Temple University women’s basketball administrator, Andrea Constand, at his estate near Philadelphia in 2004.
Since Constant filed a charge against Cosby in 2005, no fewer than 60 women have accused him of also sexually assaulting them. None of the other claims have led to criminal charges.
His imprisonment means his name will appear on a sex-offender registry sent to neighbors, schools and victims.
At 81, he will also undergo lifetime counseling and report quarterly to authorities.
