The process at the Abesan ward, Ipaja area of Alimosho has largely been peaceful, despite the heavy presence of street urchins.

The urchins, who Newsroom understands have no membership cards, frequently stop and ask those who have been able to gain entrance into the voting centre which candidate they are voting for.

The general consensus here is that Sanwo-Olu is the preferred candidate.

Accreditation of party members has already begun. Local council councillors are at the centre mobilising members on the expected outcome.
