Ambode, Sanwo-Olu pictured together for first time since APC primary election
Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and APC 2019 gubernatorial candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu have been pictured together for the first time since the party’s primary election on Tuesday.
Ambode had, few days before the election, accused Sanwo-Olu of being arrested in the United States for allegedly spending fake dollars. The governor also accused his opponent of undergoing rehabilitation at the Gbagada General hospital.
Sanwo-Olu went on to defeat him in the primaries, while the governor conceded defeat and pledged to support his opponent a day after.
Both men appeared to have put their differences behind them, as they met and shared a seat at the ongoing APC National convention holding in Abuja on Saturday night.
