Abusive husband kills brother-in-law trying to defend sister
An allegedly abusive husband, Audu Friday killed his brother-in-law, Emmanuel Onwe, on Friday.
Audu, said to be in the habit of beating his wife, allegedly committed the crime at Okploba in Ogebe, Apa-Agila community, Benue State.
The Commandant of the Benue State Vigilante Group (BSVG), Gabriel Otse, said Audu had a disagreement with his wife and he slapped her.
The wife then ran to her family to complain. Late Onwe was said to have mobilized about four of his friends to fight Audu.

Audu was, however, said to have gained an upper hand and he killed Onwe. The suspect has been arrested.
