Five youth corps members who were kidnapped on their way to orientation camps have been rescued in Imo State.
The corps members – Abiola Temitope, Olubisi Adekanmi, Jose Temitayo, Folarin Opeyemi and Shonibare Ademola – were kidnapped on the Owerri-Port Harcourt Expressway on Wednesday, during their journey to their camps in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states.
The kidnappers demanded N5 million ransom after they had taken their victims into a forest in the Ohaji/Egbema LGA of Imo.
