5 die as two buses collide in Abia

Two buses ran into each other in Abia state, Sunday evening, leaving at least 5 persons injured.

12 others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The crash occurred along Ishiagu-Uturu route by Ukwunwangwu Uturu at about 17:10hrs.

According to the Federal Road Safety Commission, the accident was a result of speed violation.

The injured have been taken to Marist hospital while those dead have been deposited at the mortuary in the same hospital..
