Benue: Unknown gunmen open fire on Civilian Joint Task Force members, kill 10
No fewer than 10 members of the Civilian Joint Task Force were reportedly killed by unknown gunmen in Abaji village in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State on Sunday.
CJTF members were said to be in the middle of a meeting when two gunmen opened fire on them.
Many were killed and injured in the attack by the gunmen, who reportedly arrived at the scene on Bajaad motorcycle.
So far, no arrests have been made, Benue State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Moses Yamu confirmed.
Yamu said police have launched investigation to unravel the identities of the gunmen.
