14 year old girl regains freedom after being allegedly kidnapped by 26 year old Facebook lover
Jide Ajayi, a 26- year-old Lagos State resident has been arrested by the Lagos State Command for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old girl.
Before her reported abducted on Thursday, August 23rd 2018, the girl named Miracle, a Senior Secondary School student it was revealed met the alleged kidnapper on Facebook,where they exchanged numbers.
After five days on investigation, the operatives of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team finally found Ajayi’s hideout in Gbeleyi Street, Idimu.
When interrogated, Miracle claimed she wasn’t sexually molested by the suspect. She narrated: ”We became friends on Facebook last year. He was always disturbing me, at a point, I decided to block him because he asked me out.
”However, on July 17, 2018, after a party in my school, he started chatting with me again. During one of our chats, he asked if I was a virgin and I answered yes, I don’t know how he got to my street. I told him that I just returned from a journey and I could not go outside.
”He said there was no problem and he would leave, I went to buy something outside when I saw him. He initially pleaded with me to follow him, but I refused, then he touched me on my shoulders and I lost my senses and obeyed him.
”He took me to his friend’s place in the pipeline area of Idimu. He held a meeting with a friend called Michael. There was a second friend, Gbenga, was with them that night. He told them that night, he told them that I would pass the night with them.
”The room was dark, I was there for about five days, during the period, he locked me in and only brought food to me. I told him that I wanted to go home, but he said I could not find my way home without him”.
Michael who was the host also reportedly asked Ajayi to take Miracle away from his house because his girlfriend was visiting soon, and Ajayi made plans to relocate her to another friend’s house.
According to reports, Ajayi was said to be an internet scammer, as the girl said she allegedly I saw him chatting with a man while claiming to be a girl.
An investigation is going on to find out why the accused abducted the girl.
