Zimbabwean pastor kills two daughters, self over marital crisis
A Zimbabwean pastor, Precocious Mpofu, couldn’t exemplify the faith he preached, as he killed his two children and committed suicide in Yeoville, Johannesburg.
Mpofu, 36, was said to have recently experienced a marital crisis with his wife, Ms Chido Chipangura, leading to their separation.
The Prophet Blessing Chiza’s Eagle Life Assembly, based in South Africa, reportedly forced his daughters – Shalom, 11, and Panashe, 7 – to drink a chemical at his apartment on Monday. He gulped same liquid shortly after.
A note he left behind stated that he was facing a lot of problems, particularly in his marriage.
Mpofu reportedly also stated in the suicide note that he was being stalked by some people – four of whom he mentioned with their contact details.
