“You belong in my kitchen and bedroom” – President Buhari fires wailing wife Aisha
After Nigeria’s First Lady Aisha Buhari openly criticised her husband’s way of running the country, the man has responded.
And Muhammadu Buhari did so while playing guest to one of the leaders of the Free World who happens to be a woman — German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“I don’t know which party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen and my living room and the other room,” Buhari, on Friday, told journalists in Germany where he’s on a three-day state visit.
“I claim superior knowledge over her and the rest of the opposition, because in the end I have succeeded.
“It is not easy to satisfy the whole Nigerian opposition parties or to participate in the government,” he said.
Aisha told BBC News she would not support her husband’s re-election, should he seek such, if he didn’t reschuffle his cabinet.
The Nigerian First Lady said her husband appointed people he barely knew, people who know nothing about the promised he made to Nigerians while running for office.
Buhari’s misogynistic response to his wife is generating enormous backlash.
Before the most powerful woman in Europe you are saying your wife's place is the kitchen. Tragic

What moral standing have you as a Nigerian to criticize @realDonaldTrump when your own President believes his wife belongs in his kitchen?

He seemed to have jokingly said it but many say such “low” talk is not befitting of a 21st Century president.
