Yola: Man, 23, commits suicide “after pregnant lady shows up at door step”
A 23-year-old man, identified as Musa Fidelis, reportedly hung himself in Yola after beating his mother over a disagreement.
Musa reportedly caused an injury on his mother’s left arm following a family dispute, and was chided by siblings.
He reportedly rushed to his room in anger and locked himself up.
When his family members realised that he overstayed in his room, they reportedly forced the door open and found his lifeless body dangling from the roof.
“He wounded his mother by dislocating her left hand,” a neighbour is quoted as saying.
An elder sister to the deceased, however, said the family dispute had arisen after a pregnant lady went to the family compound, claiming Musa impregnated her.
Musa’s uncle, Ali Hassan, described the deceased as temperamental, saying he had been acting strangely and fighting family members with death threats before the incident.
