Ya father! Adeboye’s convoy harass, curse man near UNILAG crusade
A man was, Friday night, left infuriated after police officers and church members in the convoy of respected Nigerian pastor Enoch Adeboye harassed and rained curses on him.
Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was on his way to the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for a special campus crusade.
The man said he had the unpalatable encounter with Adeboye’s convoy on his way to an ATM in UNILAG.
“I came to visit a friend,” he told NewsroomNG minutes after the incident.
“I then decided to sleep over. So we decided to go to UNILAG as I needed to withdraw from the an ATM.
“On our way, before MFM (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries located at UNILAG Second Gate), he told me that Adeboye was in UNILAG, hence, there might be traffic. We could already see some cars coming out of school.
“I immediately tried to turn so as to go to St. Agnes and use another ATM there.
“While I was still turning, a big tour bus was close by and a man alighted from it, shouting at me to make the turn on time.
“I made the turn and continued driving to St. Agnes while they followed. Before the military barracks on that road, there was slight traffic. Suddenly one of the police cars came beside me and one of the police men poured water on my vehicle. Thank God my car windows were up. The idiot even threw the empty bottle on my windshield.
“Other police cars followed, with the occupants cursing me out as they made the waka sign (a derogatory five-finger “salute” meaning mumu, fool, e no go better for your papa, idiot, etc).
“All vehicles – vans and tour bus – are from Adeboye’s convoy.”
“That’s all. Don’t use my name.”
