Woman dumps man-friend’s dead body in bush following mysterious death
Like a Nollywood movie script, a woman identified as Aderonke Ayinde has landed in police trouble in Ogun after she allegedly attempted to dump her lover’s dead body in the bush.
The state police command said Aderonke attempted to dump Asimi Abiodun’s remains in a bush near her house following his mysterious death.
The deceased is reported to have died while spending the night at the suspect’s residence in Abeokuta.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said someone caught Aderonke in the act of disposing the corpse and raised alarm.
“On interrogation, the suspect claimed that the deceased was her long time lover who used to pass the night in her place,” Oyeyemi said.
“However, on that fateful day, he came as usual, but suddenly developed a strange illness in the night and before she could call for help, he gave up the ghost. She confessed that she wanted to dump the body out of fear.”
