Two kids were almost kidnapped in Lagos

Ojuwoye Market in Mushin area of Lagos State was in disarray on Saturday after a suspected female kidnapper was nabbed by residents.

The suspect was saved by the police from Olosan division before the residents and the people in the area could beat the life out of her.

It was learnt that the mother of the children, Modinat, a trader in the market, had laid the children, identified as Hammed Rasheed (six years old) and Farida Raheed (two years old), on the floor and was attending to customer when her kids were taken.

The timely intervention of a resident who recognised the children and knew the mother saved the kids. She challenged the suspect and raised alarm when she did not get a satisfactory response as to why she was with the kids.

The suspect,  a 22 year old lady, strapped the little baby to her back and was holding the other about to leave the vicinity when she was challenged.  A mob gathered and rescued the children before beating her to a pulp.

After denying her of the palm oil she requested for, she later confessed that she is one of the six people recuited  form Osogbo, Osun State to kidnap eight children each. This was meant to be her last two as she has already kidnapped six other children.
