“Wife-beating” MFM pastor on the run after wife opens up on shocking domestic violence

Tunde Tolulope Ajayi used to pastor a branch of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) in Lagos.

He used to beat his wife of 17 years, Comfort Yemisi Ajayi, the woman says.

Comfort said her preacher husband did not only brutalise her. He also used to steal her money…and she coped with that for 17 years.

The couple had three children. One of them recently died under unpleasant circumstances. Despite this tragedy, Ajayi did not stop beating his wife, reports say.

It was at that point Yemisi moved out of her matrimonial home. She said she couldn’t endure violence and grief…together.

…and then she opened up.

Lagos-based agency Violence Against Women took the matter up after Yemisi spoke up. The case surfaced in the media last week.

The police said they needed to hear Ajayi’s version of the story.
