A Toyota pickup truck transporting building materials was seen putting other road users’ lives at risk Wednesday night in Lagos.
A road user lamented the state of lawlessness in Lagos that allowed the truck to move freely while carrying such materials.
“To make matters worse, the Hediot (sic) driving drove as if he was driving a bicycle! With reckless abandon and total disregard for other road users and their lives,” she said.
Lola is of the opinion that Akinwunmi Ambode’s government “is the worst government Lagos State has ever had.”
There has been cries, pleas and even anger directed at the state governor to do something about the reckless movement of trucks on state roads, but no positive response.
A section of the public say the governor has simply stopped working since losing his party’s primaries months ago.
New APC flag bearer, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while fielding questions from the public days ago said that if elected, regulation of indiscriminate movement of trucks would be top priority.
