WATCH: How I protected over 300 Christians, others from killer herdsmen – Imam Abdullahi
August 22, 2018
Imam Abubakar Abdullahi, the cleric who was honoured by the United States for saving about 300 people – mostly Christians – during the suspected herdsmen rampage in Plateau State months ago, has spoken to the U.S embassy about his heroics.
Abdullahi, who said he has been leading the congregation at his mosque since his father died about thirty years ago, said he wanted to join the Army when he was younger.
He said he had no problem protecting those of other faiths as they had been cohabiting peacefully before the crisis.
No fewer than 200 persons were killed during the crisis.
