WATCH: Femi Kuti insists he can’t support Buhari, as Osinbajo visits Shrine
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo paid a visit to the ‘Shrine’ during Felabration on Sunday.
Late Afrobeat legend’s son, Femi Kuti said he told Osinbajo he won’t be voting for President Buhari in the election because of his father (Fela) and the VP understood.
Fela notoriously criticised Buhari in his song ‘Beast Of No Nation” in 1984, referring to the then military Head of State as an animal in a madman’s body.
Fela was sentenced by a military tribunal to five years’ imprisonment, but he was released after a year and a half, following another change of military regime.
