WATCH: Femi Adesina comes under fire for false statement on military
President Buhari’s media mouthpiece Femi Adesina has goofed by saying “all over the world, the military does not disclose the figure of casualties”.
Adesina made the statement while addressing the military’s reluctance to disclose the actual number of soldiers killed by Boko Haram.
Over a 100 soldiers were adjudged to have been killed in the last week by the terrorists in Maiduguri, Borno, a figure the Army has refused to confirm.
Adesina’s assertion is, however, false.
At least two foreign journalists have confirmed that, indeed, military authorities in other countries reveal the number of casualties.
