WATCH: Commuters, residents lament state of Lagos-Badagry expressway as tanker explosion kills 2
Residents in the Ojo, Okoko, Agbara and environs are lamenting the deathtrap the Lagos-Badagry expressway has become due to bad road.
Residents, commuters and motorists going to their various places of business were left stranded and frustrated on Wednesday morning after a tanker fell and exploded.
The explosion, which affected another tanker on the road, reportedly led to the death of two persons.
Such occurrences are not alien to residents of the locality, as the almost impassable road has been neglected by both the Federal and State governments for over a decade.
“Government offers the people of this area nothing,” a resident in the locality said.

Since the incident, residents in the locality have been greeted by the sight of a burning tanker, burnt container, dead body, flood and dirt on the road.
“This is a Federal road but there is a government in Lagos too,” another frustrated resident, Abiola, shared.
