WATCH: Commuters lament deplorable state of Lagos-Badagry expressway

The Lagos-Badagry expressway has been left in a totally deplorable state since construction work began on it over a year ago.
A resident of the Iyana-Iba area told Newsroom it is now extremely difficult for vehicles to make use of the road.
“It is terrible,” the resident told us. “Many people now prefer to abandon their vehicles and trek. We don’t even have an idea what they are doing anymore and it doesn’t look like they have an idea either.
“Honestly, we are tired,” he added.
A similar situation is being experienced on the Iyana Ipaja – Ikeja axis of the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
The Lagos Sate government has spent the past week detailing road works that have been executed since Ambode became governor, but residents of many areas in the state say their roads remain in deplorable condition.
