WATCH: ASUU members stop students from receiving lectures in UNILAG
November 8, 2018
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has been forced to join in the indefinite strike by ASUU.
Members of the union disrupted lectures in one of the school’s halls and asked the students to go home.
ASUU blames the need for the strike on government’s refusal to implement previous agreements.
But Education minister, Adamu Adamu says the agreements with ASUU were made by previous governments when the economy was good. Adamu says he can’t guarantee President Buhari’s government would implement the agreements soon.
It is day four of the indefinite strike and students are hoping it wouldn’t be long before it is called off.
