WATCH: Angry locals destroy APC Senator’s bags of rice following Iworoko market accident
Angry locals in Iworoko area of Ekiti State, Sunday morning, destroyed several bags of rice following an accident that reportedly claimed many lives Saturday night.
A trailer with failed brake had steered into the market in the area, killing many persons and injuring others.
It was discovered that the trailer was transporting branded bags of rice which carried the image of a Senator, Tayo Alasoadura. The APC lawmaker is seeking reelection into office in March.
Some witnesses say about 15-20 people were killed in the accident, but we have no official confirmation on the figure yet from authorities.
The locals flooded the streets today, ripping the bags and emptying the content on the road in anger.
