VIDEO: Heartless policemen handcuff man to moving van, drag him on Benin road
Some residents and onlookers in Benin were, on Sunday morning, greeted with the appalling sight of a man handcuffed and being dragged on the road by a police van.
Operatives of the Edo State Police Command, Esige division, were behind the assault.
The incident, according to Irabor Franklyn, who calls for justice, happened between 1st East Circular Road and Sopkonba Road Junction in the Edo state capital.
It is unclear what the man’s offence was, and residents who dared to query the police officers about their action were allegedly assaulted.
This latest incident adds to a worrying trend of police assault on citizens.
