UK Policewoman Charged For Stabbing Self To Claim Compensation
Female police community support officer (PCSO), Olivia Morphew, has been charged for stabbing herself in order to allegedly claim compensation for injuries mishieviously.
The charges against the PCSO comes after an investigation carried out by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The officer, in June 2022, reported that she was stabbed during an attack in Esher, Surrey.
This was, allegedly, in a bid to claim compesation money for the injury claims.
Morphew will be brought before the Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 12.

She is said to have turned in a compensation claim for her injuries after allegedly stabbing herself.
The 24yr old has been charged with perversion of justice, fraud and possessing a knife in a public space.
“Our investigation began following a conduct referral from the force in July 2022.
“After concluding our investigation in April 2023, we referred a file of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service, who authorised the charges,” a Spokesperson for IOPC stated.
