TRAGIC! Suspected assassins kill cleric, wife and 4 children in Ogun

Some suspected assassins reportedly killed a family of six in the Atiba area of Odogbolu, Ogun State on Tuesday.

A man identified as Sheik Yusuf Tanimola, believed to be in his 30s, was dealt machete blows along with his wife and four children.

According to reports, the children were a girl, aged 11, twin brothers, aged 8 and the last female child, aged 2.

The victims were reportedly discovered in the pool of their blood when a school bus arrived at the house to pick the children.

Residents were reportedly shocked when they woke up to the news on Tuesday morning, as they had no inkling any strange thing had happened the night before.

All the victims had since been buried accordance to Islamic rites.

Police say they are already on the trail of the killers.

“The Commissioner of Police has deployed men of the homicide section, the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad and Anti-kidnpping unit in the community,” the state police PRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said.

“We are already profiling the identities of the killers; we will get them.”
