TRAGEDY: Trains kill woman, man on New Year’s Day

Not the kind of news we like on New Year’s Day but two people have died in London after being hit by trains.

Another person, also hit by a train, is in hospital…battling for dear life.

One of the dead victims is a woman believed to be in her early 20’s. British Transport Police (BTP) officers received a call at 3:22 a.m. local time her body was lying lifeless at a rail track in Clapham North Tube.

Paramedics pronounced her dead.

Before 5:00 a.m., BTP were called to Hayes & Harlington station after a man was also struck by a train. He’s battling for his life in hospital, Evening Standard is reporting.

At 8:30am, BTP were called to a stretch of track about half a mile from London Paddington station after a passing train driver spotted a body on the line.

It’s a dead man.

Police said the incidents are being investigated..
