Time is of essence, parents tell rescue operatives over search break at collapsed school building
Rescue operatives at the collapsed school building have called off search to rest as parents insist that time is of essence.
There are indications that people might still be in the rubble of the school building which crumbled on Wednesday at Ita-Faji area of Lagos Island.
Not fewer than 100 people were believed to be in the building when it came under.
Emergency agencies have been working round the clock to rescue the victims from the rubble.
Although many people have been pulled out so far, with few of them dead and others hospitalized, the parents of the pupils believe that more people are still trapped in the building.
They proposed that the Emergency operatives should change shift instead of taking a break.
The operatives promised that they will resume the search in an hour.
