The 15-year-old son of Florence Omagbemi, the Nigeria Super Falcon’s coach, has died.

Samson Omagbemi, according to a media officer for the Nigeria U-23 team, Timi Ebikagboro, drowned at a hotel swimming pool in Delta State on Wednesday.

Ebikagboro said in a statement that a teacher had led the JSS 3 student of Challenge International School, Kolokolo Udu Road, Warri, to the Golden Tulip hotel along with his mates for an exam after party.

Two of the students, Samson inclusive, died while swimming in a pool at the hotel.

Ebikagboro questioned the teacher’s decision, writing on his Facebook: “how on earth will a teacher take JSS students to a hotel in Effurun for an after exam party and in the end 2 of the innocent students got killed and thrown into the hotel pool, one of two dead kid is the “son” of our own Florence Omagbemi, Super Falcons head coach.”

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has condoled with Omagbemi, a former Falcons player, on the death of the teenager.
