Teacher, 29, faces life imprisonment for allegedly raping 13-year-old girl
David Ikejiobi, a 29 years old teacher who was arrested for raping a 13-year-old girl may spend the rest of his life in jail if found guilty of the crime.
Report from a police prosecutor Christopher says that the act was committed around the month of March at 25, Abiola Alao St., Ijeshatedo, Lagos.
In the statement of the police prosecutor when David was arraigned before the court on Thursday, he said the accused usually followed the victim home after school.
He also said that the girl usually opens the house with the extra key she has, because her guardian does come home late.
“And these gave the accused the opportunity to commit the crime on three different occasions and warned the girl not to say a word to anyone,” he said.
The prosecutor also said the victim revealed confided in her grandmother after she noticed some strange behaviour while on holiday at her house.
The Chief Magistrate, P. E Nwaka, refused to take any plea from the accused and remanded him in Kirikiri Prison.
