Task Force nabs alleged fake doctor in Ondo
One Tayo Olowolayemo was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly operating a false hospital. He was arrested by the Ondo State task force Ministry of Health.
Reports say Olowolayemo was allegedly operating a false hospital in an apartment in the Tipper Garage area of Akure.
He was caught during the task force monitoring exercise.
The suspect was said to have been accepting patients illegally while disguising it as a pharmaceutical store.
Dr Dipo Durojaiye, the Permanent Secretary of the Ondo State Ministry of Health, said ”Many controlled and banned drugs, injections such as Enajin, were found in his possession in the fifty environment he had been carrying out nefarious activities.
”He had engaged in administering drips, transfusion of blood with wrong instruments, injecting his victims with banned and dangerous drugs and disposing of medical waste in an unlawful manner, among others.”
The fake doctor has been taken to the law enforcement agents for investigation and prosecution.
Durojaiye urged fake doctors to stop such acts and warned citizens to stay safe and be cautious of fake drug dealers.
