NEMA caters for over 3 million Nigerian IDPs. Four of its officials were caught in the line of fire on Friday.
No less than 1,200 people were being sheltered at the Malkohi camp in Yola, Adamawa State. Many of the IDPs there are children.
There are at least 1,200 internally displayed persons at the camp, many of them children.
There are no less than 1,000 children at the IDP camp, and that is beside the several thousand adults being sheltered there.

Nigerian children, and their parents, displaced by sundry environmental disasters and the Boko Haram insurgency have been given a reason to smile.
