Suspected ritual killer, Ifeanyi Dike rearrested by police

26-year-old Ifeanyi Dike, an alleged ritual killer wanted for killing his cousin and later escaping from police detention in Port Harcourt, was rearrested in Jos, Plateau State.

Dike was a University of Port-Harcourt student as at the time he killed his eight-year-old cousin, Chikamso.

He then escaped from police custody in August, an incident that saw a policeman, Sergeant Johnbosco Okorinize, and an ex-officer arrested on suspicion of aiding in the escape.

Ifeanyi Dike escaped from the custody of the State CID in Port Harcourt after being paraded at the Police Headquarters.

His rearrest led to serious jubilation at the Rivers State police headquarters when the state CID commander broke the news.
