Star teams up with NPFL to host football coaching clinic in Nigeria
Nigeria’s foremost beer brand, Star Lager Beer in its efforts to give back to the local league will partner with the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) to bring world class training to thirty 1st team coaches in the Nigerian league. The workshop, which opened today, will climax on the 27th of July.
The coaching clinic will also feature both theoretical and practical sessions and will equip local football technical supervisors and coaches with the tactical knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the game and improve the overall quality of Nigeria’s local football league.
Speaking during the press conference today, the, Portfolio Manager National Premium Lager Brands, Nigerian Breweries, Tokunbo Adodo, said,
The coaching clinic is purely a technical football session to empower our league coaches with the required knowledge needed to develop the quality of the Nigerian league. We are confident that this will significantly improve the technical expertise of our local coaches.”
Chairman of the League Management Company, Shehu Dikko, said,
“The coaching clinic in partnership with Star Lager beer is a very good thing for Nigeria’s football. The LMC as a body is very committed to improving the Nigerian football league and as such will go the extra mile to ensure capacity-building events like this hold regularly.”
The coaching clinic is yet another milestone for Nigerian football occasioned by Star Lager in line with the partnership with Nigerian professional football league as its official beer partner.
