“Sick” Buhari missing as Osinbajo chairs FEC meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari is in Nigeria but has reportedly failed to show up for today’s Federal Executive meeting.
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is presiding over the gathering.
This is the first time Buhari would be absent from the meeting since he returned from a medical trip to London.
“I’ve never felt so sick in my life,” Buhari said after returning to Nigeria.
He added that he may need to return to his doctors in London as he had not fully recovered. Buhari’s apparently failing health could be the reason he’s missing from today’s FEC meeting.
“Buhari is not even sick, he’s hale and hearty,” information minister Lai Mohammed repeatedly said while the President was away for 49 days.
