SHOCKING! 9-year-old “chained inside church by own pastor father”
While 9-year-old Korede Taiwo recovers in hospital from weeks of torture, the man allegedly responsible for his predicament has disappeared.
Police in Ogun State say they can’t wait to arrest Pastor Francis Taiwo for allegedly chaining the boy, who happens to be his own son, inside his Key of Joy Celestial Church building.
The reason Taiwo allegedly treated his son that way is unknown. Perhaps he would tell the authorities when they apprehend him.
“He can only run for awhile and he can’t hide,” state police spokeperson Muyiwa Adejobi has vowed. “We have started intensive manhunt on him.”
The police is also looking for members of the church who had knowledge of the sad things allegedly done to Korede inside the Key of Joy Celestial Church.
The boy was so traumatised and malnourished he couldn’t walk.
Officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) who rescued Taiwo on Friday had to carry him to hospital.
Officials say the boy can now walk after a few days of humane treatment.
NSCDC say they would, this week, hand him over to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare..
