Scary moment flight passengers have real encounter with snake on a plane
Passengers of an AeroMexico flight got a shocker amid their flight on Sunday, November 6, after a poisonous five-foot-long viper appeared unexpectedly from the overhead baggage compartment.
Surprised and Terrified, the travellers would jump out of their seats as the green beast hovered above their heads.
For those who have seen Samuel L. Jackson’s Snakes On A Plane, the memory of the movie’s thrilling story was enough to make them scamper to safety from their uninvited co-passenger.
Turned out the snake had very nice co-passengers, who, according to one passenger, Indalecio Medina “had to catch it with a blanket and obviously we gave it some magazines to read for a while.”

The snake’s VIP treatment continued as it also forced a priority landing with “animal control experts waiting for the unexpected traveller.”
“The snake arrived alive and kicking, frightened but without having paid its airfare,” Indalecio Medina further documented the chilling experience on Twitter, eliciting reactions.
”It’s worse than turbulance, crosswind, rain,” one Twitter user said.
A spokesman for AeroMéxico confirmed the incident that “a snake was detected inside the passenger cabin. Due to the presence of the animal and following security protocols, the flight was given priority to land at the AICM. Once it had landed, AICM personnel secured the reptile.”
He explained that measures are being taken to determine how the snake found its way onto the plane. He also added that procedures are being evaluated to prevent similar incidents in the future.
For the passengers aboard the Torreón to Mexico City-bound flight, it is indeed, a flight to remember.
