Royal Tour: Prince Charles, wife arrive to colourful welcome in Ghana, to visit Nigeria in coming days

The Prince of Wales, Prince Charles, and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have arrived Ghana as part of a nine-day visit to West Africa.

Prince Charles and Camilla arrived to a warm and colourful welcome by some Ghanaian students Friday afternoon.

The royalty, who visited the Gambia on Thursday, will also visit Nigeria in the coming days.

Charles had said excitedly ahead of the royal tour in a video posted to YouTube, that he looked forward to a great time in Africa.

“As my wife and I prepare to embark on our upcoming tour of The Gambia, Ghana and Nigeria, I did just want to take this opportunity to send you all our special greetings and to say just how much we are looking forward to meeting so many of you,” he said.

“This will be the first visit to The Gambia for us both although we have heard so many wonderful things about the beauty of its natural environment and the resilience of its people.”
