Row over “Igbo” NNPC boss continues as “northern” BBOG campaigner claims “allegiance” to South-South
Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu is the new Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
He’s an Igbo man from Onicha Ugbo, in Aniocha North local government area of Delta State.
Some people are complaining that “Kachi” is not a true Igbo man because he is not from a “core Igbo state” like Abia, Anambra, Imo or thereabout.
In the latest “tribal” row trailing Kachi’s appointment, Bring Back Our Girls campaigner, Aisha Yesufu, engaged in this “tweetversation” and made the following assertions.
Yesufu said President Muhammadu Buhari was free to appoint anyone, from anywhere, so long it’s in the interest of Nigeria. Someone appears to disagree.

Dear President Buhari @MBuhari
If the right man for the job is not even a Nigerian, please naturalize him, make him a Nigerian & employ him

Also if Buhari is not the right man for the job, we can get a non-Nigerian, naturalize him & make him president. https://t.co/LqfVxeE1Su

Simply. We can get CEO Nigeria. It is about Nigeria being great so people would not be migrating and dying in seas https://t.co/FDnG6hQ8Wb
